so we celebrate a 14-year jubilee in the school year 2007-2008.
The section is attended by 107 pupils of the age from 4 to 17 years.
For a successful registration, the students have to pass a talent test, an interview and they need a medical confirmation of their health ability.
The whole studies consist of one or two years of preparatory, seven years in the first degree and four years in the second degree.
School fees of the dance section vary from 160 to 230 CZK depending on the number of lessons per week.
The ground floor rooms have been reconstructed for needs of the dance section. There is a beautiful mirrored-in ballroom with a special floor covering.
Regular performances of the dance section are held once or twice a year. The dance section cooperates with the other sections of the school too. In 2007-2008 the students of the dance section are performing for public, for example in a retirement’s home, in a children’s home, they performed at a ball of Academy of Agriculture, at a town ball, at a Christmas performance showing a fairy tale Karkulka and Budulínek together with the singing section.
By attending the dance section, as the students are offered a systematic development of their physical and psychic personality by way of the movement activities. Depending on his/her skills and interest, each student is given the basics of the professional training, which can help him/her in case of applying for any non-professional dance activities in the future.
Trainings of:
Dance gymnastics, current dance, folk dance, basics of classic dance and step dance. The children are taught the basics of movement and gymnastic skills, scenic dance, expressive dance and theatre dance.
Dancing means an effort. It is really a hard work demanding discipline, patience and will. Eutaxia, ability and willingness to accept a hard training, attention, imagination and some talent are necessary for studying the dance.
In the preparatory classes, the students attend one lesson per week, in the first and the second year they are given two lessons, in the third year they attend three lessons per week and since then there are four lessons per week.
We all can find an activity that we are interested in, that we are always looking for, because it brings us pleasure and satisfaction. Sensible teachers and a good school are able to recognise the student’s talent and to develop it carefully and systematically. It is really hard to appreciate the acquired movement skills, habits and experience at the beginning of the studies. But they worth gold in the future.
